If your organization uses a different AWS account for AWS Marketplace than the AWS account associated with AWS Partner Central, you can connect the two accounts through Subsidiary account connections.
In this setup:
- Your AWS Partner Central account will be the primary account.
- Your AWS Marketplace seller account will be connected as the subsidiary account.
📒 Please note: Before starting, make sure you have the 12-digit AWS Account ID of the AWS account used for your AWS Marketplace seller registration. You will also need someone with access to that account to accept the connection request.
➡️ Step 1: Sign in to AWS Partner Central
Sign in to AWS Partner Central using the AWS account associated with your organization's Partner Central profile.
➡️ Step 2: Navigate to Subsidiary account connections
From the main menu on the left, scroll down to Account connections.
Select:
Account connections → Subsidiary account connections

➡️ Step 3: Send a connection request
On the Subsidiary account connections page, click Send connection request in the upper-right corner.
This will open the Send a connection request form.

➡️ Step 4: Complete the connection request
Under Requester information, enter:
- Full name
- Email address
Under Account information, enter the 12-digit AWS Account ID for your AWS Marketplace account, then click Add account.
The account will appear under Selected accounts. Verify that the AWS Account ID is correct before submitting the request.
You can add up to 10 AWS accounts to a connection request.

📒 Please note: Sending the request establishes your current Partner Central account as the primary account and the AWS Marketplace account you are connecting as the subsidiary account. AWS notes that this role assignment is permanent for the connection. To change the account roles later, you must cancel the connection and establish it again.
Once everything has been verified, send the connection request.
➡️ Step 5: Accept the request from the AWS Marketplace account
After the request is sent, an administrator with access to the AWS Marketplace account must sign in and accept it.
From AWS Partner Central, navigate to:
Account connections → Partner connections → Connection requests
The pending request will appear under Connection requests. Select the request, review the details, and click Accept.
📒 Please note: The subsidiary account has 60 days to accept the connection request before it expires.

➡️ Step 6: Verify the connection
Once the request has been accepted, the connection is established between the two AWS accounts:
Primary account: AWS account associated with Partner Central
Subsidiary account: AWS account used for AWS Marketplace
You can return to Account connections in AWS Partner Central to review the established connection.
🎉 Your accounts are now connected! Your AWS Marketplace account is now linked to your organization's AWS Partner Central account, allowing AWS to associate the Marketplace seller account with your broader AWS Partner setup.
