Welcome! 🎉
Before connecting your Microsoft Azure Marketplace account to Labra, there are a few prerequisites to complete in Microsoft Partner Center and the Azure portal.
This guide walks you through the required account setup, organization and payout/tax information, and the access configuration needed before moving on to the Labra integration.
Once these steps are complete, you can continue with the next guide to connect your Marketplace account to Labra.

3. Complete Your Organization Profile
Complete and verify the following sections in your Partner Center organization profile:
Legal Info
Microsoft verifies your company's legal information when you join Partner Center. You can track the verification status from the Legal Info page.
You can either look up your company profile or enter the company information manually. If your company is registered with Dun & Bradstreet, you can use your D-U-N-S Number to look up your company information.

The Identifiers page lists your company's Partner Center identities, including Partner IDs, Publisher IDs, Windows Publisher IDs, and other identifiers.
Tenants
The Tenants page contains information about the Microsoft Entra ID tenants associated with your partner account. Global Admins can use this section to associate additional tenants with the partner global account.
Company Profile
The Company profile page identifies the type of partnership you have with Microsoft, such as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) or Cloud Solution Provider (CSP).
4. Complete Your Payout and Tax Profile
The Payout and tax page contains your payout and tax details, including billing information, PO number, company tax ID, VAT ID (if applicable), and currency.
Complete the required information as part of your marketplace account setup.
Once completed, make sure the Payout and Tax Profile is assigned to your marketplace under the Payout and Tax Profile Assignment tab.

5. Grant Labra Access
To perform publishing and offer/subscription management on your behalf, Labra requires specific Microsoft Marketplace permissions.
These permissions allow Labra to access the Microsoft commercial marketplace APIs, primarily the SaaS Fulfillment APIs and Private Offer submission APIs.
This setup consists of two parts:
- Part A: Programmatic access – Provides Labra with the API access required for technical integration and marketplace management.
-
Part B: Human user access – Adds a Labra user to your Partner Center account for listing management and app integrations.
Part A: Programmatic Access to Partner Center APIs
The recommended approach is to create an App Registration in the Microsoft Azure portal and grant the required permissions. Labra will use the resulting application credentials to authenticate with the Partner Center APIs.
➡️ Step 1: Log in to the Azure Portal
Log in to the Microsoft Azure Portal https://portal.azure.com
➡️ Step 2: Navigate to the App Registrations Page
Open Microsoft Entra ID > App registrations.
Fig. 6
➡️ Step 3: Create a New App Registration
Select New registration to create a new application.
Fig. 7
➡️ Step 4: Fill in the Details for the Single Tenant Application
Create the application as a Single Tenant application and complete the required registration details.
Fig. 8
➡️ Step 5: Make Note of the App and Account Identifiers (Essentials)
Make note of the required application and tenant identifiers shown under Essentials.
These details are required by Labra for the technical configuration of your marketplace integration.
Fig. 9
➡️ Step 6: Create Client Secret
Create a client secret for the application and save the secret value securely.
Fig. 10
➡️ Step 7: Share the Required Credentials with Labra
Share the following information with Labra through the designated secure channel:
- Application (Client) ID
- Directory (Tenant) ID
- Client Secret
- Any other required identifiers from Step 5
Fig. 11
➡️ Step 8: Grant API Permissions
Grant the API permissions requested by Labra for the marketplace integration.
Fig. 12
Fig. 13
After adding the permissions, select Grant admin consent to prevent authentication prompts when Labra accesses the APIs.
Fig. 14
➡️ Step 9: Link the Application to Microsoft Partner Center
Complete the required steps in Partner Center to link the application you created to your Partner Center account.

These permissions are required to support the necessary marketplace actions, including offer/subscription management and Revenue Insights.
Once integration testing is complete, Labra can review the permissions and remove any that are no longer required.

Part B: Add a Labra User for Listing Management
You can invite external users to your Partner Center account through User management.
Please add azure_marketplace@labra.io as a user so Labra can assist with listing management and related marketplace configuration.
If you prefer not to provide this access, Labra can assist with the setup during a live session. In this case, screen sharing may be required while the necessary actions are completed.
