What is APN 3.0 / the new Partner Central?
APN 3.0 is AWS’s updated Partner Central experience, now integrated directly within the AWS Console. It replaces parts of the legacy APN portal, but the migration is still in progress.
Why am I getting “access denied” when opening Partner Central?
This usually means:
- Your user hasn’t been granted access to your company’s APN account, or
- Your permissions are not fully configured in AWS
You may need your internal AWS admin to assign you the correct Partner Central access.
Where is the Partner Scorecard in APN 3.0?
The Partner Scorecard is not yet available in APN 3.0.
It still lives in the Legacy APN, and must be accessed through a redirect from the new Partner Central.
How do I access my Partner Scorecard now?
- Go to Partner Central (new experience)
- Click “Scorecard” in the left-hand menu
- You’ll see a message indicating it’s not yet available in APN 3.0
- Click “Sign in” and complete the separate login
- You’ll be redirected to the Legacy APN, where the Scorecard is available
Why do I need to sign in again when accessing the Scorecard?
The Legacy APN uses a separate authentication flow, which is why AWS prompts you to sign in again before redirecting you.
This is expected during the migration.
Where can I find my APN ID?
Once inside the Partner Scorecard (Legacy APN):
- Go to the Overview section
- Your APN ID appears directly beneath the “Overview” title
Do I need to use both APN 3.0 and the Legacy APN?
Yes — for now.
- Use APN 3.0 (Partner Central) for most navigation and new features
- Use the Legacy APN for items that haven’t been migrated yet (like the Scorecard)
Will everything eventually move to APN 3.0?
Yes. AWS is actively migrating all partner data and functionality into the new experience, but some features are still pending.
Does this impact onboarding or integrations (e.g., PRM setup)?
Not significantly — but you may need to:
- Manually retrieve details (like your APN ID) from the Legacy APN
- Complete certain steps across both environments
What should I do if I can’t access the Legacy APN?
- First, try accessing it via the Scorecard redirect in Partner Central
- Confirm your permissions with your AWS admin
- If issues persist, contact AWS Partner Support
