AWS has consolidated access to Partner Central capabilities within the AWS Marketplace Management Portal (AMMP). While Solutions are now accessed through the Marketplace interface, they remain part of the AWS Partner Central experience and are used to support co-sell and opportunity alignment with AWS Sellers.
This guide walks you through what a Solution is, how it differs from a Marketplace product listing, and how to create one.
💡 What Is a Solution?
In the current AWS Partner experience, a Solution is a structured representation of a product, service, or practice designed to address a specific business need or use case.
Solutions are created to:
Support co-sell motions
Attach offerings to AWS opportunities
Improve visibility with AWS Sellers
Define outcome-driven value propositions
⚠️ Important: Solutions are not publicly visible in AWS Marketplace. They are internal-facing assets within Partner Central and are not customer-browsable product pages.
🔍 Solutions vs. AWS Marketplace Product Listings
Solutions and AWS Marketplace product listings serve different purposes.
Understanding the distinction is critical.
🧩 What Is a Solution?
A Solution represents how your offering is positioned for co-sell and opportunity management.
Solutions may include:
Products you own
Products you are authorized to resell
Consulting or professional services
Managed services
Offerings that are not listed on AWS Marketplace
Solutions focus on business outcomes and seller alignment.
They do not automatically create a purchasing mechanism.
🛒 What Is an AWS Marketplace Product Listing?
An AWS Marketplace product listing is the transactable offer customers can subscribe to or purchase directly through AWS Marketplace.
A listing includes:
Pricing models
Contract terms
Billing configuration
Fulfillment details
Listings enable transactions.
🔑 Key Difference
A Solution supports co-sell visibility and opportunity alignment.
A Marketplace listing enables customer transactions.
You can link a Solution to a Marketplace listing, but creating one does not automatically generate the other.

This opens the Solution creation page.
➡️ Step 3: Enter Solution Details
Provide clear, customer-facing information about your offering.
At a minimum, you should:
Add a Solution Title
Clearly describe what the solution does and who it serves.
Define the Value Proposition
Focus on measurable business outcomes and differentiation.
Write a Detailed Description
Include:
Target customer profile
Primary use cases
Core capabilities
Key differentiators
Upload a Logo
Ensure it meets AWS formatting and branding requirements.
➡️ Step 4: Associate Products + Add Integration Details
Depending on your status:
If you have AWS Marketplace listings:
→ Select and associate them directly- If your offering is NOT on Marketplace:
→ Add it as an external product by providing:- Product name
- Short description (max 220 characters)
- Product URL
After selecting products, add a 2-3 overview of the integration details specific to the products in your solution.
➡️ 5. Add Use Cases (Optional but recommended)
- You can select up to 3 use cases
- While optional for opportunities, this helps strengthen your co-sell story
➡️ 6. Review and Create
- Review all details
- Choose one of the following:
- Save and Exit → saves as draft
- Create Solution → submits and creates the solution
What Happens Next?
- Your solution is created with “Limited” visibility
- This means it is:
- Active
- Available for ACE opportunities or FTR
Not publicly visible on AWS Marketplace
- This means it is:
- You can now:
- Attach it to ACE opportunities
- Use it in your co-sell engagements
Best Practices
Focus on outcomes over features
Be specific and avoid vague claims
Align messaging with any linked Marketplace listing
Review and update content regularly
