Issue
When creating or updating a Labra Referral record tied to an Opportunity in Salesforce, some customers may see the following error:
“The postal code is invalid for Ireland, Ireland postal code must be in A99 9A9A or A999A9A format.”
This occurs even when the postal code (e.g., D02 NH26) is valid.
Cause
This issue is related to a limitation on the AWS side. The current validation for Irish postal codes in the Labra managed package does not yet recognize certain valid formats. AWS has confirmed a fix is planned by the end of August 2025, after which Labra will update the package to incorporate the corrected validation.
Workaround
In the meantime, you can safely deactivate the Labra Referral Validation Flow in Salesforce.
This flow enforces postal code validation on the Salesforce side.
Deactivating the flow will allow your team to edit Opportunities without error.
Turning it off will not impact the overall functionality or usability of the Labra package.
Any postal code-related issues will still appear in the sync status message, so your team will continue to be informed of formatting errors without disruption to Opportunity updates.
Next Steps
Deactivate the Labra__Referral_validation Flow until the AWS fix is released and the Labra package is updated.
Labra is raising this issue with AWS and will notify you once the fix is available.
