AWS has rolled out a new SaaS policy update requiring all SaaS sellers to submit an architecture diagram and select a hosting pattern in the AWS Marketplace Management Portal (AMMP) as part of the product validation process.
What’s Changing?
SaaS listings not hosted on AWS are now allowed in the Marketplace.
However, only products fully hosted on AWS will qualify for Private Pricing Addendum (PPA) commitment retirement.
To be validated and earn the “Deployed on AWS” badge in the Marketplace, your product must have architecture details submitted through AMMP.
How to Submit Your Architecture Diagram
Once your listing is in a limited state (i.e., submitted for AWS testing), follow these steps:
Go to your SaaS product page in AMMP.
From the "Request changes" dropdown, select "Update architecture details".
Choose your hosting pattern.
-
If your product is fully hosted on AWS or facilitates AWS data migration:
-
Upload an architecture diagram (.png or .jpg).
🚀 Refer to the AWS Seller Guide for diagram requirements. Specify whether your application plane runs in your AWS account or the buyer’s.
-
Click Update architecture details.
Notify your AWS Partner Development Manager (PDM) once done.
