Common Labra for Co-sell Error Troubleshooting

  • {"errors": ["Opportunity is not accepted, Hence cannot be updated"]}

    • The user is not allowed to update the referral until AWS Approves it.

  • {“errors”: [”Other solution” can have value only when “Solution offered” is “Other“.]}

    • Ensure that the "Solution Offered" field is set to "Other."
    • Enter the appropriate value in the "Other Solution Offered" field only after the "Solution Offered" field is set to "Other."
    • If the "Solution Offered" field is not "Other," clear the value in the "Other Solution Offered" field to avoid the error.

  • {“errors”: [“Defined solutions and “other” cannot be selected at the same time. If you have an active solution selected, remove “Other” to proceed.]}

    • Review your selections in the solution offered field.
    • If you have selected any predefined solutions, make sure to deselect the "Other" option.
    • If you need to proceed with the "Other" option, ensure that no predefined solutions are selected.
    • Once you have updated the solution offered field, you should be able to proceed without encountering the error.

  • {"errors": ["Opportunity not Approved"]}

    • The user is not allowed to update the referral until AWS Approves it.

  • {"errors": ["Marketing Development Funds Used is required when Is Opportunity from Marketing Activity is Yes."]}

    • Verify that the "Is From Marketing Activity?" field is set to "Yes."
    • Enter the value in the "Was MDF Used?" field and save the referral record.

  • {"errors": ["Please provide at least one Solution Offered."]}

    • Ensure you have selected at least one solution in the Solution Offered field before proceeding. As the field is required, it must not be left blank.

  • {"errors": ["Contract end date cannot be earlier than contract start date."]}

    • Check the Contract Effective Date and Contract Expiration Date dates you've entered. Ensure that the Expiration date is not set before the Effective date.

  • {"errors": ["Following fields are required for all ISV Accelerate and SaaS Revenue Recognition when Opportunity is Launched: 'Customer Software Value (Number and Currency)', 'Procurement Type', 'Contract Effective Date/Term Start Date' and 'Contract Expiration Date'."]}

    • Ensure that you provide values for the following required fields when a referral stage is set to launched: Procurement Type, Contract Effective Date, Contract Expiration Date, Customer Software Value, and Currency.

  • {"errors": ["Required: Project Description; Estimated AWS Monthly Recurring Revenue cannot be blank or 0, The postal code is invalid for country Colombia, Colombia postal code must be in 999999 format."]}

    • Ensure the following fields Project Description, Estimated AWS Monthly Recurring Revenue, Postal Code for Colombia: Ensure the postal code is in the correct format (999999) are filled.

  • {"errors": ["User not found for Opportunity Owner email:ji****ll@ma******om" ]}

    • The user ji****ll@ma******om does not exist in AWS Partner Central, or their role is not set to ACE User or ACE Manager. Please ensure the user exists and has the appropriate role assigned in AWS Partner Central.

  • {"errors": ["Invalid Data: Customer website should be a valid domain"]}

    • Ensure that the customer website field contains a properly formatted domain name.

  • {"errors": ["Marketing Activity Channel, Marketing Activity UseCase, AWS Campaign Name and Was Marketing Development Funds Used? - cannot have values if Is Opportunity from Marketing Activity? is set to No"]}

    • The fields "Marketing Activity Channel", "Marketing Activity Use Case", "AWS Marketing Salesforce Campaign Name", and "Was MDF Used?" cannot have values if "Is From Marketing Activity?" is set to No.

  • {"errors": ["Changes are not allowed when an opportunity stage is " Closed Lost" or " Launched.""]}

    • Changes are not permitted when the referral stage is "Closed Lost" or "Launched."

  • {"errors": ["Missing Required Field: Closed Lost Reason is required when closing the opportunity"]}

    • "Closed Lost Reason" field is required when updating the referral stage to Closed lost.

  • {“errors”: [“Account ID must be 12 numerical digits”]}

    • Please ensure that the AWS account ID consists of exactly 12 numerical digits.

  • {"errors": ["Customer website/domain cannot be the same as Partner Account website/domain"]}

    • Please ensure that the customer's website field is different from the partner's own website.

  • {"errors": ["Closed Lost Reason is not acceptable until Opportunity has been 'Closed Lost'."]}

    • The "Closed Lost Reason" field cannot accept any values until the referral stage is set to "Closed Lost". Please ensure the "Closed Lost Reason" field remains empty if the referral stage is not equal to "Closed Lost".

  • {"errors": ["Record is not editable."]}

    • This means that the opportunity has not been approved.

  • {"errors": ["Specify a valid solution before moving the opportunity to "Committed" or "Launched" stage. "Other" is not an acceptable value as a solution offered once a deal has progressed beyond Business Validation."]}

    • Please review your selection in the Solution Offered field.
    • You have selected "Other" as the value, but moving the stage to Committed or Launched requires a valid solution.
    • To proceed, deselect "Other" and choose a valid solution from the available options.
    • Once updated, you should be able to move the referral forward without any errors.

  • Error: Parameter validation failed: Missing required parameter in SoftwareRevenue.Value: "Amount"

    • If facing this issue while creating a referral in Salesforce:

      • Remove the mapping for the “SaaS Documentation” field in the Mapping Manager.



      • After updating the mapping settings, locate the “SaaS Documentation” field in the referral record, remove any existing values, and click Save.

        This will automatically trigger the sync and submit the referral to AWS. (Please refer to the attached screenshot for guidance.)

    • If the issue occurs while updating the referral stage to “Launched”:

      • Check and ensure that the “SaaS Documentation” field in the referral contains valid values.

      • If it is empty, add the appropriate values to proceed.
